Is your child finding reading or spelling harder than it should be?

You've practised reading together. You've encouraged, praised and kept trying.

But reading or spelling still feels harder than it should.

Maybe your child guesses at unfamiliar words, avoids reading aloud or struggles to remember the sounds and spelling patterns they've already been taught. Perhaps they're beginning to lose confidence.

You know they're capable of more. They may just need the right support.

I help children build strong reading and spelling skills through structured, carefully matched phonics teaching - helping them make progress and become more confident learners.

Hi, I'm Naomi Adams, a UK qualified teacher with over 25 years' teaching experience.

I specialise in helping children who find reading and spelling difficult, using structured, step-by-step teaching that starts from what each child already knows.

Before your child joins a group, I'll work with them individually so I can understand exactly where they're starting from and make sure they're placed at the right level.

Start with Two Individual Sessions

Every child starts with an individual assessment and one-to-one lesson, so I can understand exactly

where they are and find the right starting point for them.

1

Individual Assessment

I’ll spend 30 minutes with your child to find out what they already know, where they’re finding reading or spelling difficult, and where they may need some extra support.

2

Individual Jigsaw Lesson

Your child will have a 30-minute one-to-one Jigsaw Phonics lesson at the right level for them, giving them a chance to get to know me and experience how the lessons work.

3

Join a carefully matched group

I’ll then recommend the right starting point and place your child in a small group with children working at a similar level. Groups have a maximum of three children.

Your child can start without waiting for a group to fill.
Groups have a maximum of three children, carefully matched by reading and phonics level. Your child can begin individually while I find suitable children to join them, so they can get started straight away without compromising on the right group match.

What parents say

I've supported children with reading, phonics and literacy for many years. Here's what some of their parents have said.

Since Naomi began supporting our daughter, we’ve seen such a wonderful transformation. Her phonics teaching has boosted our daughter’s reading skills, and she’s now tackling schoolwork with new strategies and a lot more self‑belief. Naomi’s calm, patient approach and consistent encouragement have really helped her confidence grow.

Danielle Bennett

Parent of Frankie, Year 2

Naomi supported our son with phonics and reading in a way that was both patient and encouraging. She helped build his confidence, and we saw a real improvement in both his reading ability and his enjoyment of learning.

Charlotte Walmsley

Parent of Sebby, Year 4

We knew we had dyslexia in the family so we didn't wait to get support - Naomi was exactly who Max needed!

Parent of Max, Year 1

How the small groups work

Your child will learn in a small, carefully matched online group, with plenty of individual

attention and opportunities to practise.

1

Two focused lessons each week
Children attend two 30-minute online lessons each week, giving them regular practice without sessions becoming tiring.

2

Just three children in a group
Groups are kept deliberately small, with children carefully matched by reading and phonics level, so everyone receives plenty of individual attention.

3

Skills that build step by step
Lessons follow the Jigsaw Phonics programme, with reading and spelling skills taught systematically and revisited regularly to help children make secure progress.
